9th Line Construction Begins May 19, 2009

Mr. Nick Colaursso, is the York Region project manager for the Ninth Line Construction between Rose Way and Hwy 407 (YR Project No. 9420, Contract 08-100).

He has sent me an email is to advise that the Ninth Line construction will be commencing on Tuesday May 19th.

Some construction surveys and home inspections (to monitor construction vibrations) are being conducted in advance of the construction, however, no digging or construction activity is required for this work. A separate notice has been distributed to the affected property owners for the home inspections required.

The work is anticipated to be completed in the Fall 2009. The general contractor for this work is ConDrain Company (1093) Limited.

Please note that ConDrain is also completing work for the developer adjacent to Ninth Line south of Kenilworth Gate (on the east side of Ninth Line south of Hwy 7). This work is not part of the Ninth Line Region Contract 08-100.

More information regarding the work is provided on the attached notification letter, which is being distributed to residents, businesses, institutions, and agencies. Markham Stouffville Hospital, Participation House and York Region Emergency Medical Services are included in the distribution list.
