ISSUE 5: Urban Sprawl is out of control

I do not support any plan that promotes Urban Sprawl. Developers who would like to build big box stores, warehouses or sprawling, old style suburban wastelands on our vacant land are not welcome.

• To ensure that your voices are heard on this issue, I formed the Cornell Advisory Committee. It’s made up of all Cornell stakeholders, including representatives from the Ratepayer’s groups in Cornell and from the groups west of 9th line.
• Work to see that the mix of residential, commercial and business is correct.
• Encourage a lifestyle centre of shops, offices, residences and theatres. This way of building creates self-suficient communities
• I will be holding public meetings again in the spring to make sure that you know what is happening, and to make sure your voice is heard.
